T9 Women’s skis
BioFlex
Working with the Alliance Team to further develop our line of women-specific skis has lead to BioFlex, a breakthrough multi-wood core technology. Used exclusively on our T:9 series of skis, the combination of two distinctly different woods, fir and spruce, provides two desired traits in a woman's ski: stability and forgiveness. It's not just different layers of wood, but completely different cores fused together at the tip and tail. Looking through the window on the sidewall of a T:9 ski, you can see where the wood is joined. Spruce, a light, soft wood is used in the extremities of the tip and tail, and fir, a more solid, dense wood, is used underfoot. The Spruce provides easy turn initiation, lightweight characteristics, and overall ease for which T:9 skis have come to be known. The Fir underfoot provides a new level of confidence, inspiring control, predictability and stability.
Flex Pattern
Using the BioFlex core, K2 T: Nine skis are tuned to provide ease and forgiveness at the tip and tail, with solid security underfoot.
Forward mounting point
All T: Nine skis are built with a midsole 2 cm forward than that of a standard men's midsole mark. This accommodates the fact that a woman's center of mass is generally much lower than that of a man's. By moving the midsole forward, its places the center of mass of the average woman over the optimum area of the ski, allowing for more control and easier turn initiation.
BCRF Ribbon
As shown by the pink ribbon on their bases, for every sale of a T: Nine ski, K2 is proud to donate a share of proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
